Volunteer Descriptions
| *SCOREKEEPER | Keep a running tally from the lane slips to provide a final score for each swim meet. *Training Required. |
| *STARTER/ANNOUNCER | Announce and start each event (home meets only). *Training Required. |
| *STROKE/TURN JUDGE | Ensure that all strokes and turns performed by the swimmers are within the regulations. *Training Required. |
| *HEAD REFEREE | Resolve any conflicts regarding times, starts, and/or calls made by the stroke/turn judges. *Training Required. |
| *ADMIN REFEREE | Assist the Starter and Head Referee with processing DQ slips and lane slips. *Training Required. |
| SWEEP JUDGE | Determine the order of finish at the end of each race. |
| RIBBON WRITER | Label award ribbons. |
| RUNNER | Collect and deliver lane slips and DQ slips to the referee. Take lane slips and DQ slips to the scorekeeper. |
| TIMER | Use a stopwatch to time each race. |
| TIMER ASSISTANT | Record swimmers' times on lane slips. |
| BACKUP TIMER | Extra timer who times each race in case of stopwatch problems. |
